Goo Goo Dolls
Let Love In (2006)

So, many of us probably only know this band because their girlfriend loves that song from “City of Angels”. Yet I also have to put up my hands and say that’s exactly the way I discovered them, just replace girlfriend with younger brother!

Many of their old albums hold a certain cult status in Britain, which is perfectly fine, but I feel that “let Love in” is going to be the Goo Goo Dolls big rebirth. The album is the bands eighth, and as I said before promises to be one, if not the best, combining their fantastic writing abilities with the amazing voice of front man John Reznick.

The album still has one or two of those songs that the more emotional of us will put on loop for the next 3 years, but as a whole the album works really well. Each song successfully flows to the next and always leaves you wanting more. The harmonies and guitar riffs will leave you in a beautiful trance, which is what we expect from a band such as the GGD.

It is recorded without fault, and mixed beautifully, it hold pace and, I believe will bring the GGD’s to the head of the British charts, with any luck it will be luck number 8 for the boys from Buffalo.
