Stop The Clocks
(2006)
For any Oasis fan this album is a must. The chances are that you will
have all the songs already, and will be wondering why certain tracks
have been missed out, but until you listen to this album from start to
finish you can't begin to realise that this compilation of their best
work to date really does fit perfectly. From the start of Rock 'n'
Roll Star right through to the very last second of Don't Look
Back In Anger you will be relishing every single moment this record
plays.
The album is compiled by the band, although Liam claims he had no say on
what was on it and would have put on some other tracks too, but to be
fair, even the man himself couldn't look at this track listing and say
that it's not a fair representation of their best works because whether
it's an album track, single or b-side, every track is spot on
throughout.
To put it simply, 'Stop The Clocks' is the perfect Oasis compilation,
and for this moment in time covers the void until they release their
next studio album. I advise you get the CD that comes with the bonus DVD
because it comes complete with a superb 40 minute interview with Noel
and Liam and probably the best ever live video of Champagne Supernova
live at Knebworth, it's completely breathtaking. This is the best 'Best
Of' you'll find to this date.
