The Upper Room
All Over This Town (2006)
'All Over This Town' was the first song that I had heard
from this new band. It has hints of the style of The Editors but has a
much more calmer feel to it. The vocal talent of the lead singer is very
impressive, hitting highs and lows at all points during the song. It's a
nice song to put it simply, but with my only problem being that it does
get a little bit repetitive as the song goes on. It definitely grew on
me because at first I wasn't too sure, but now I can appreciate it more.
The next single due to be released from The Upper Room is 'Black and
White' which is getting a lot of praise already, so hopefully it will be
even better than this song. If the new single doesn't become repetitive,
I can see it being really good.
