Stoned In Love (2006)
'Stoned in Love' by Chicane is an upbeat, 'dancy'
track. The song gives off a very weird feel, a sense of searching for
something, like the bass line, its simple but catchy. However, the
guitar riff could have been much more complex as it just copies the
bass. I dislike some of the effects on the voice as it breaks up its
originality and becomes slightly cliché. However I really like the
breakdown towards the end of the song as it gives it another dimension.
With a great chorus, and with a little more originality, it could be
something so much better than otherwise a good song. I was a big fan of
the B-sides as they offered so much more heading nodding and foot
tapping tunes.
