Razorlight
In The Morning (2006)
'In The Morning' is the first single to be taken from
Razorlight's new self-titled album (to be released on the 17th July '06)
and is the follow up to their debut album 'Up All Night'. The single
keeps what most people love about Razorlight, the familiar sound, the
punchy guitar and fast paced lyrical work from front man Johnny Borrell.
The song is very catchy and has proved to be a big hit already hitting
the charts at number 3. It's pleasing to hear that the band haven't
tried out a new sound on this single, I think that using what they
already know has proved to work very well. The only downer for me about
this song would be the repeating of 'are you really gonna do it this
time' over and over at the end of the song, it seems like it's only
there to try and push this song to over 3 minutes in length, but if
rumour has it, this won't exist on the album version.
So now we wait and hope that the rest of the album lives up to this
solid track, which I am fairly sure it will do.
