The Feeling
Sewn (2006)
The Feeling are one of the BBC's bands to be tipped to
make this year, and their debut single 'Sewn' is proof that they are
looking like doing just that. I got the single on pre-release download
through iTunes and straight away its catchy tune gets stuck in your head
for hours after you've listened to it. The style could be compared to a
much more uplifting Embrace, with piano and power guitar driven
sequences.
'Sewn' was not the first that I heard by The Feeling, 'Fill My Little
World' was the first of their records that was played on the radio
during Lane Lowes hotly tipped bands for 2006 section. In my opinion,
that song in itself would be great as a single, very uplifting and song
certain to put a smile on your face. 'Sewn' is still a great track
though, and deserves the solid 4 stars.
