The View
Wasted Little DJs (2006)
As their website name says, The View are on fire, and
they are right because right now they really are. Their first single
release hits the charts at number 15 last weekend which is phenomenal
for a band that has come from being little known buskers, to well known
Indie pop rockers within a matter of months. When I first saw them in
February this year, I was taken in by there presence and music straight
away, and to see that 6 months down the line they've now made their mark
on the music scene with regular plays on Radio 1, with great thanks to
Zane Lowes plugging of the band through his session 'mix tapes'.
This debut single really shows what The View are all about, full of
youth and energy which you can't help but tap your fingers to and bob
your head to. The music is catching and is perfect for the summer time
weather. 'Posh Boys' takes influences from the Libertines sound, but
with there own originality mixed in to make another great track.
There's not much I can say about this single other than it's going to
lead onto even better things, and I really can't wait to upgrade all the
demo's that I've got from them with a fully mastered album which I'm
sure will be on the way in the next few months. Keep an eye out for such
tracks as 'Skag Trendy' and 'Face for the Radio', they look like they're
going to big tunes for The View.
